School shootings
Massive distractions
For school students
Whose primary goal
Is to grow
From the nuisance
So we focus on
Our test and education
But now have to focus on
Protecting our chest from bullet penetration
What can be done
This I ask the nation
The gun laws
They want stricter ones
Extra scrutiny on pistols
A sale ban
On the bigger guns
But how are all of these laws and debates
Going to protect me
When there is a gun in my face
The last thing I wanted to do
When I was in school
Was to call home
But now a must
When elementary-highschool-colleges
Have become war zones
Leaving every family shook
Tec-Amish-Columbine
Now Sandy Hook
Wow
This phenomenon needs to cool down
Sad to say it
But NewTown
Needs a new town
Multiple funeral songs-church bells
That’s the new sound
So the feeling you can’t shake off
Your mind you can’t clear it
On how you were helping them
Leave cookies and milk for Santa
But now instead It’s left for their spirits
This is what I call
The exception of the second
However conflict arises
It is our right to hold weapons
But when will we learn our lesson
When will it become see through
That guns don’t kill
People kill people
Take away firearms to stop killing
But do you think they won’t find another way to
I see the argument though
A knife can’t clear a room
Leaving everything dead
Making sure the bodies can’t move
Of course every weapon is dangerous
Yet the chance to live is increased
But with a gun-you not saving shit
Chances diminished
It’s heartbreaking because when I was kid
The things I feared were stuff like the dentist
A Lego project-I need to finish
DAMN
Can’t be safe in the movies
No safety in schools
Can’t even walk the streets
Because they will kill you there too
So I’m suppose to accept this
A cold world with no affection
If this is our direction
Point me to the lethal injection
Sleep in peace
To all those
Who are deceased
The voices that were taken
I am here to speak
I just hope our prayers
Don’t fall on deaf ears
Angels who were called home
I’ll see you when i get there
