   I always find it amusing how the majority seem to always be the ones agreeing with me. I will flat out say it now, I dislike one of my supervisors intensely. Is it because he makes me work? Hell no!! That would be me just being lazy. Is it because he has a certain power and I don’t? Absolutely not!! That would make me a hater and to be honest I haven’t put in the amount of work he has. Simple as that. I dislike this man due to his personality, his boastful bouts of displaying power. His personal insecurities that he makes everyone have to pay for. He is at the top position being captain yet behaves in the most unprofessional manner ever. These can range from verbal threats, time manipulation, and all levels of intimidation. By now I know the readers are questioning just who the hell am I speaking about. Wait no longer…

Captain Keith Franklin of Bellevue Hospital Police.
 

This man is a disgrace to this uniform. Maybe at one time or another, his actions in this uniform were done with pure empathy. Maybe. However since the day I met this man* before becoming an officer he already showed his character. He didn’t speak to me at all nor bothered to lend support in learning the department. The only interaction we had consisted of where was my flu mask? 

Strike one. As I became an officer, his character just couldn’t be contained. Speaking to certain female officers he “admires” generates threats of a write up. Not for me but for the female. Talk about abusing power. His insecurities which to be honest is none of my business should remain as such. None of my damn business! Is it our fault we are young, attractive and have our whole life in front of us? Is it because you are out of shape? Or the fact once you leave this building you are basically dog shit on the law enforcement ladder? We didn’t do that to you bro. Why must you pretend to be a tough guy, flexing your power to keep us intimidated? You can’t hold a conversation as a man? Speak your feelings instead of grunting with a red pen? I know this isn’t all your doing. Definitely not. That’s giving you too much credit. We all see the hole where Geppetto puts his hand. You could care less as your actions have dictated. I want to keep this as professional as possible but I must say you are true definition of a flunky. You treat us officers, not all but the majority with no manners what so ever. Your flip flopping as well as your lack of compassion for the people working under you is disgusting. Disgusting!! What’s even worse then that, what drives me up the damn wall is the knowledge of our personal lives. You know who has kids, who is having trouble picking up their kids or supporting them. You test their resolve and once broken you are relentless. You pick and pick as if you want us to snap. As if you want us to lose our job. It’s almost as if it’s your personal orgasm to get one of us in trouble. How can you sleep at night Keith? Knowing your fear of speaking to women is why this officer is out on the street for 15 days…no pay!! You must have a cold soul or be so emotionally unbalanced to have lasted this long. Your bully tactics force the already weak minded into bending further which makes our work situation that much more hostile. The core of this issue begins with those above him who allow such evil acts to go on. Hey as long as the job gets done right Director? To call you captain actually makes me cringe inside because you are far from that. You don’t motivate us. You show no empathy unless it can get you laid. You walk around here wanting us to fear you (which many do, I truly don’t know why) instead of respecting you. And this is your representation of such a department? You wear that white shirt with ego not with professionalism. You speak to us men as if we are not the same. You speak with such a tone that we both know will not be repeated off the clock. This is no threat, this is FACTS! Why must you behave like this, Keith? Is it because you can’t retire yet so hey everyone will be miserable? Is it because you have no backbone as a man? Maybe it’s because you truly most likely have zero authentic friends. Of course people talk to you here. It passes the time and as I learned allegedly depending on how curvy you are special treatment will be granted. Yet how many can you say out of all those people here in this hospital actually enjoy your company? I not once seen you eat lunch with a group. You the friend that no one wants around but have to deal with because his mother asked us to look after him. You are a lonely bitter man. I learned this. The department knows this. Now the whole hospital will know about you Keith. You can threaten me as you have in the past but what’s a threat to a MAN who doesn’t fear you, in any way? You like to speak crazy and nasty to the females who work with us that denied you. Why is that? Do you feel it’s easier to intimidate women? As with your fellow white shirt and other team members, it shows it is in your case though. I heard you choke slam women?? Yet every man who wants to take it to that same level with you, you run behind your FBI shield (stop it pure jokes, the man can barely read). I just want to understand where this stems from? Were you always like this Keith? Who did it to you? Let’s go get them! Lmao…

I tried and tried to remain as professional as possible. You have no idea how complicated this test has been. No idea!! However strike two and three came with such a force that you forced my hand. 

  Keith, I’m a writer. I was born for this. I went to school boss man. Different levels of schooling sir. I wrote over 50 papers with my longest at 25 pages. Who did you think you was going up against? I know my purpose in life and whether I get there or not, I will fight until I can no longer. It seems though my time here at Bellevue was written. I learned so much here regarding human interaction I can work anywhere. This is the only thing I thank you for Keith. You showed me how this world can make someone so bitter and cold. You showed me what not to be as well as how this rat race can change you forever. I’m still amazed how you come in to work with a few other nobodies to solely make us miserable. Does it make you proud when you walk in and the vibe is destroyed? I know you can’t feel special when absolutely everyone in the room stops smiling at your presence. Maybe it does right? If they won’t love me I will make them hate me, I guess? You think your team members, as easily influenced as they are, really enjoy you Keith? On your ride home on your “old man want to be young bike” or whatever car you keep hidden from us, think on that. “You get more with honey than with vinegar”. You ever heard that little man? Maybe if you treated us as human beings, we would respect you. Make it our business to do this job exceptionally. You and your team members want complete control with zero positiveness. It doesn’t work like that Keith. It has though for so long because no one has done this. No one has spoken to you as you needed to be from this department. I will and hopefully everyone reading this will voice their opinion. You ever wondered why certain HP talk to you when showing ID like that (no excuse but you get my point) look no farther. This man creates such tension that eventually those in the sand will have to venture into the water. It’s that un bearable. The most sickening part though is what do you gain being such a way? Do you have a secret bonus clause that states if you get this man fired with two kids you receive an extra weekend off? What is it Keith? Talk to me. Well it’s too late for that. You can talk to everyone who will read this with those questions. 

Remember when you told the desk officer “to remove the shit from the desk”? How about when you said “fall in line or you will leave in cuffs”. Or when you told an fellow officer checking on his mother wasn’t important at that moment. How about making alleged sexual advances on certain officers? Or the multiple alleged sexual misconduct cases on you? No, still don’t remember? I got you old man. I understand things stop working after a while. Remember when you told a certain officer to stop speaking to me or risk a write up? How about your fake tough guy stare you suddenly adopted? I know you remember allegedly going through our time sheets to WAP certain officers without valid reason. Wait can you even do that…Captain? You do know no one in this department is rich right?! If we all were to miss a few checks we would all end up in the red. You do know that right Keith? So what makes you better than any of us. Why not embrace us as family in the same struggle instead of a power conquest? You that sad of a person bro? You can’t even walk straight yet worry about if I’m on my post. Mind you he wants us on post at all times yet promotes not to be lazy. Yeah I know, such is life in this department. However that’s for a whole another piece in itself. This is solely for Keith Franklin. You should be embarrassed, as a man of color to behave in such a way towards us. When you called your two “fight for your life” 85s, who came running. Us!! Not your puppet master, not whoever you try to impress. It was us the people you speak down to. The people you work to scare. Keith Franklin, get your shit together boss man. Simple as that. You may have your team scared and many officers, not me big fella. You want to retort, debate this, I’m with it. You wanna speak as a man now, I’m with it. Forthwith!! Where ever you want to take it, I’ll meet you there. Just know this is my open letter maybe one of many on the social injustices faced everyday here, wherever. Keith Franklin you are not a captain in my eyes nor a man. You are tool to be used when needed. What’s so ironic and sad is you forget you are apart of the people boss man. You not making Geppetto money, you forgot? Or you been lost in the sauce so long, you can no longer grasp how you act? Either way your actions are the same which scream soft to me. I don’t know it could just be me. I doubt it though. Trust me it isn’t.

  So Keith, this is where I leave it. To say anymore would be over kill. I have done enough. “Is this what you want?”(Chris Tucker voice) I don’t think so but you been running the show for so long, you truly must feel you are untouchable…
